Who is Tomes Tassels?
Owner, Lauren Tomes, born in Illinois, but raised in Simpsonville, South Carolina, had the idea of Tomes Tassels while sitting on her family room couch, in January 2018. She saw brands like ShanLou, Twine and Twig, and many more high end tassel brands, and said, "I could make that!" Then the research began. Watching, learning, observing business and styles. She created her first fabric tassel necklace. Many people loved it and wanted more!

Tomes has a degree in Communication from the College of Charleston and a studio art background, so she thought she could combine that knowledge of social media, business, writing, and creativity into a small little business!

Thus Tomes Tassels was born!
Sitting on this very couch is where the idea of Tomes Tassel began. Lauren talked about selling her fabric tassel necklaces for about a week. This drove her mom crazy, but Lauren had a vision, and wanted to change the idea of a tassel necklace.
